Presence of the Invisible

PRESENCIA DE LO INVISIBLE

Presencia de lo Invisible

My approach to this concept started with research into family immigration narratives. These stories deal with themes of separation, reunion, humor, and loss.

The mural is a snapshot of a girl who was separated from her family and is in search of them with the help of her mystical coyote.

This art project is a practice in opening up discussions into our own origin stories and hopefully draw attention to the inhumane treatment of people only looking for a safe place to land.

This mural was completed with help from local community members and artists.
