Ice Detentions in our Neighborhoods
Download: Public Safety Series Print (2020–2025)
Below, you can download a digital version of my print from the Public Safety series (2020–2025).
This particular piece addresses the unchecked federal spending on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. At a time when this administration is cutting funding for essential programs and protections, it continues to pour resources into what can only be described as an illogical campaign of fear and intimidation against immigrant communities. This doesn’t just affect undocumented individuals—it impacts entire families and neighborhoods.
My work comes from a humanitarian perspective. I am deeply concerned by the inhumanity of denying people their constitutional rights. We don’t need to frame this issue through the lens of labor or skill; to strip someone of their humanity is inherently cruel—and that is exactly what this administration continues to perpetuate.
Please feel free to download the print for free. In return, I encourage you to donate to one of the many local or national organizations supporting immigrant communities. I’ve included a link and QR code to an organization that is close to my heart—one that has provided vital support to immigrants in the Long Beach area for many years.
