Thunderheads, Rainbows, and Indecipherable Threats
Thunderheads, Rainbows, and Indecipherable Threats

Thunderheads, Rainbows, and Indecipherable Threats

Tempera Mono Serigraph and Caran d’Ache

Variable Edition of 10

15” x 11”

Inspired by Octavio Paz's "Mexican Masks," this work explores the concept of masks and the nature of silence, investigating hidden and revealed layers. It reflects the nuance, complex silence filled with brewing storms and unexpected bursts of color held within, akin to navigating life like a person stripped bare. Painted in a style that references automatic surrealism and honors an indigenous icon, the work embodies the abstract exploration of masks and their depths.
